Ikelite/JVC Video Package

Ikelite has introduced an extremely capable package that includes a JVC standard-definition camcorder with a 30-gig hard drive and an Ikelite housing. The camera also records 7.38-megapixel stills, making it one system that can do everything. The package is just $1,600 or $1,900 with the optional 20mm wide-angle lens. This is the perfect compliment to July’s Specialty of the Months course, Underwater Videographer.

JVC MG-730 Camcorder

The new JVC MG-730 Camcorder features a built-in 30GB hard drive that easily stores over seven hours of better-than-DVD quality recording or up to 10,000 digital still images. The MG-730 is equipped with a whopping 7.38 megapixel CCD that produces images comparable to most stand-alone digital still cameras. The camcorder utilizes JVC’s Gigabrid Imaging Engine to process video and still images separately. This provides optimal processing for each to produce both high quality video and high resolution still images.

Video recordings are stored as video files, so deleting unwanted video is as easy as “throwing it in the trash.” Create a video without a PC with in-camera editing features and direct DVD button (requires Share Station DVD Burner, not included).

The Everio Dock offers multiple connections, including DV Out (iLink/Firewire), for convenient viewing, video transfer, and charging. The included software package has everything you need to edit video, manage photos, and burn DVDs (Windows version only). Capturing your dive vacation has never been easier!

Ikelite Housing for MG-730

Molded of clear polycarbonate to provide seamless construction and corrosion proof performance. This “Clearly Superior” design provides full view of the camcorder, control functions, and assurance the system is safe.

A complete housing and camera combination weighs less than eight pounds. The housing with base and handle assembly measures only 10.5 inches wide; 8.5 inches high; and 8.0 inches deep. The camera’s large viewing screen can be seen easily through the housing back.

The base removes instantly for traveling or attaching of the optional Pro Video-Lite 3 battery pack. Included UR/Pro Color Filter provides color correction in tropical blue water.

The housing port is threaded allowing the use of the optional 6420 Ikelite’s 67mm threaded wide-angle conversion lens.

Internal Wide-Angle Lens Option: Special ports are available for using the optional Raynox HD-5050 Pro high definition wide-angle lens.

Choose a camera battery long enough for any day’s diving: The housing accommodates optional JVC VF-808U, VF-815U, and VF-823U batteries.
