Dive Fest 2010

July 31-August 1 • Whitestar Quarry

Join us for a weekend of diving, socializing, camping, contests and ribs. Take part one or both days. Stay overnight in a nearby motel or camp out on site. We will also be having a cookout at the quarry on Saturday evening.

Among the many activities taking place during the weekend:

• Underwater Photo Contest: Check out one of our rental cameras or bring your own. Shoot any time up until 2:00 pm on Sunday. At 2:00 we’ll print out your favorites and judging will begin. Ikelite’s Steve Miller will be on hand Saturday to help answer your photo questions.

• Poker Run: Takes place all weekend (up until 2:00 on Sunday). You and your buddy search for colored golf balls representing various playing cards. The team with the highest hand wins.

• Buoyancy Clinic: Saturday from 10:00 until 3:00. All divers welcome.

• Navigation Contest: On Sunday, pit your navigation skills against other divers.

• Whitestar Trivia Contest: Test your knowledge of Whitestar-related trivia. You have until 2:00 on Sunday to turn in your answers.

• Try Out the Bladefish: The brand-new, ultra compact and highly affordable DPV from Innovative Scuba.

Fifteen dollars includes admission to the contests and cookeout. Sign up in person at the store or do it on line.
