PADI Divemaster Course
Have you ever wanted to assist with dive classes, work on a dive boat or in a dive resort, or possibly even teach scuba? If so, the first step in achieving these goals is to enroll in PADI Divemaster training.
Divemaster training is an important prerequisite to further training and certification as a PADI Assistant Instructor and Open Water Instructor.

Who Can Learn? his course has three prerequisites:
Students must have logged a minimum of 60 dives prior to certification as a Divemaster.

What is Involved? The Divemaster program is comprehensive and includes:
- Extensive self study.
- Formal classroom sessions.
- Observing entry-level classroom, pool and open-water training.
- Observing advanced and specialty diver training.

Where Can You Learn? Classroom/pool sessions take place at Just Add Water, in conjunction with our regular beginning scuba courses. Open-water training dives take place at White Star Quarry (also in conjunction with our regular open-water training weekends).

When Can You Learn? This course is highly individualized. You can begin almost any time and, once you do, much of the training can take place on a schedule that meets your individual needs. |

How Much? (Varies depending on open-water training options; contact Just Add Water for more information). Students are responsible for transportation, lodging, meals, dive site admission, and must supply the items listed below.

Required Materials: Students are responsible for purchasing the PADI Divemaster Crew Pack, which contains several key PADI textbooks and publications.
Required Equipment: Students are also responsible for supplying the following:
- Pocket mask.
- Mask, snorkel, fins.
- Adequate exposure protection.
- One cylinder per dive, per day.
- Weight system, weights.
- Buoyancy Control Device (BCD).
- Regulator/alternate air source.
- Depth gauge/timer or computer.
- Audible surface signal.
- Surface signal (safety tube).
- Cutting tool.
- Slate.
All of these items are available for purchase at Just Add Water; many may be available for rental as well.
