PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Course

BC Symbol

Nothing defines an exert diver more than his or her ability to control buoyancy. No other skill has the potential to make diving easier, safer or more enjoyable. The benefits of buoyancy control go far beyond just “look good under water.”

  • By diving streamlined, you not only use less energy, you use (substantiallY) less air.
  • Because you are no longer egregiously overweighted, you are at less risk of a diving accident.
  • As you are no longer “bouncing off the bottom,’ you are at less risk of damaging your equipment or stirring up silt (which can ruin everyone else’s enjoyment). More importantly, you are at less risk of harming the fragile aquatic environment.
There is a lot more to buoyancy control, however, than just pushing buttons on a BCD. That ’s what this course teaches you.
